Encounter and Respond
UNC offers an incredible variety of experiences, relationships, academic learning, and opportunities for personal growth. However, the spiritual area is a part of life that is often neglected during these years. That’s unfortunate because God has some incredible things to say and teach during your college journey!
Cornerstone is a group of Carolina students with many different backgrounds seeking to understand who God is, who we are and why we are here on this earth. We are not seeking to be a church or a particular denomination. Rather, we hope to come together as a community of students who together simply want to ENCOUNTER THE GREATNESS OF GOD in a real way. As we encounter Him in the Bible and through relationships we want to learn to RESPOND WITH ALL OUR HEARTS. Come experience our community and find out more about what God has to say about life!
Seeing God Rightly
Who is God? What is He like? Is there a God? These are questions we have all asked at one time or another. Yet, there are so many views and ideas out there to answer these questions. What is the truth? Here at Carolina we are dedicated to encountering the God of the Bible. We all have an inadequate and incorrect view of who God is, no matter what your background. We want to explore the Bible together and continually ask the author of it, God, who He is. We believe that as we SEE GOD RIGHTLY, we will SEE OURSELVES RIGHTLY, we will then SEE OTHERS RIGHTLY and finally we will LIVE RIGHTLY. We want to apply this on campus by living lives deeply satisfied by a love relationship with Christ. Then we want to expose other students to the greatness of God and the unconditional love of Jesus Christ, helping them become Christ centered worshipers also. We do this through a 3-fold philosophy:
WIN students to Christ . . .
BUILD them in their faith . . .
SEND them out.
